Raymeg Retail
Our retail division includes supermarkets and solar installation & distribution stores in South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. The supermarkets and butcheries are located in the busiest cities and towns in South Africa and Zimbabwe and they are fed largely from our farming operations in these countries.
Raymeg runs solar equipment distribution hubs in South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe, where electrical power is in high demand. In addition, we have joined hands with some investors to establish solar farms in southern African, which will feed the national power grids to ameliorate the electrical power deficit in the three countries. Our aim is to be the biggest independent power producer in Southern Africa within the next few years.
A state-of-the-art rabbit abattoir in Zimbabwe’s capital Harare is part of the retail division of Raymeg Consultants Private Limited. Raymeg is working with some Asian investors to establish rabbit abattoir networks in South Africa, Botswana and Mozambique to take advantage of the growing demand for rabbit meat in these countries and to serve the export market in Africa and in Asia. China is the biggest consumer with an annual rabbit meat intake of one million tonnes.
